An unapologetically shallow post. Not complaining, not being extravagant, just saying what I'd do if a spare Andy or ten landed in my wallet ...
New shower curtains. Our old map one is absolutely ripped to shreds. It's almost become a game: how long can I continue to poke new holes to hang it? Only the Shadow knows. And the other one is just ugly.
Subways for dinner. BLT for the Girl, Meatball for the Boy, Turkey for the Husband, Veggie for me. With everything. Dunno, just feel like it.
A bottle of Frangelico. Great in hot cocoa, or coffee. Especially as dessert, by itself, golden liquid swirling in my last handled crystal glass. Sigh.
A new plain black fleece Hoodie. My old one finally gave up the ghost last spring after 10 years, and I miss it because it was perfect for just about everything in a pinch. No thinking, no fuss.
A school of Tetras for the aquarium. The final survivors of the last batch are swimming around in that daze that says they're probably not long for this world.
One of these cool mug French Press things. Because then I could have fresh hot coffee in the office. Even though the Husband says I don't need fresh hot coffee in the office.
More Smart Wool Socks. Who would have thought they could be so wonderful? Especially warm socks in loud patterns.
Pay off my library fines. Because it's nice to be able to check things out without having the Husband do it for me. Although I'm not sure quite why. So maybe not.
Some Chocolatour bars. Straub's stopped carrying them a while back, leaving me craving the Grenada.
I'd take a friend to the London Tea Room downtown. Someone I haven't seen in a while. Dunno who. Maybe you.

I have to say I love this shallow post. (and I thrilled at "Only the Shadow knows.) It's kind of a great exercise.
For Christmas, I actually asked for socks, because I always think seriously, how much can good socks be? And then Smart Wool costs $20. I can't do it for myself, so my husband did it for me. Three Smart Wool, one Patagonia, one VT sock lady...oh, the utter extravagance of it all! And now you've got me intrigued with cool mug French press thing. But I don't NEED it.
A Breakfast Sandwich at the London Tea Room? Count me in.
Deloney, if you're ever in St. Louis I would definitely take you to the Tea Room and share a pot of tea while you enjoy a breakfast sandwich and I have a lovely scone with Devonshire cream. totally.
Count me in for that trip.
Smart wool socks are why I don't knit socks anymore. Why bother when oh they are so nice. I asked for them for Christmas this year, too! I have them on right now!
I'm too late to ever be original. I'll give you the $20 to take me to the Tea Room. (Now I'd just have to find the airfare).
